Electric furnace slag is a solid waste discharged from the process of metal smelting by electric furnace, and its main components are oxides such as calcium, iron, copper, silicon, magnesium, aluminum, manganese, and phosphorus. The common ones are steel-making electric slag and copper-smelting electric slag. The recovery value of electric furnace slag
The smelting plant produces a lot of electric furnace slag during the smelting process. The smelting of one ton of pig iron can produce 0.3-1 tons of electric furnace slag, and the smelting of one ton of anode copper can produce 5-6 tons of electric furnace slag. The pollution to the environment is very large.
Slag can be used to produce cement, heat preservation and heat insulation materials in buildings, flux in smelting or mold slag for casting steel ingots, and water quenching slag from copper smelting can also be used as sandblasting material. However, this all needs to be established on the premise that the electric furnace slag has been crushed and processed.
Second, the electric furnace slag crushing process
The process flow of the electric furnace slag processing production line can be roughly divided into five parts: feeding, crushing, sorting, grinding, and finished products.
- Feeding
The electric furnace slag is brought to the slag yard by the tanker, cooled with cold water, then stacked in the yard, and fed to the crushing equipment by the vibrating feeder.
- Crushing
The crushing of the electric furnace slag needs to go through the process of coarse and medium crushing. The hardness of the electric furnace slag is relatively large, so it is generally processed by a jaw crusher.
- Grinding
The particle size of the broken electric furnace slag cannot reach the accuracy of selection, so it needs to be ground with a ball mill for further fine crushing.
- Selection
There are also many magnetic materials in the electric furnace slag, and the iron fine powder can be separated from the slag by using a magnetic separator.
- Finished product
After sorting, the slag powder can be collected by the powder separator and sent to the finished material tank by the elevator for other purposes.
