The following is a brief introduction to several commonly used crusher combinations and their advantages and disadvantages.

- Jaw crusher + impact crusher system
The advantages of this system are that it has many specifications, can be used for large-scale production, and has a wide range of applications; the proportion of product varieties is easy to adjust, the product grain shape is good, and the powder is less; it has strong adaptability to materials with medium abrasion index. The disadvantage is that it has poor adaptability to materials with high abrasion index, medium coarse-grained aggregate acquisition rate, higher consumption of wear parts than cone crushers, and higher energy consumption per unit product.
- Jaw Crusher + Cone Crusher System
The advantages of this system are that the proportion of product varieties is easy to adjust; it is suitable for materials with high abrasion index; the product has good particle shape, small amount of fine powder, and high yield of coarse-grained aggregate; low energy consumption per unit product; low consumption of wear parts. The disadvantage is that when the system capacity is large, three-stage crushing or multiple crushers are required, which will lead to complex processes and high project investment; compared with the impact crusher system, the scope of application is narrow.
- Jaw crusher + impact crusher + vertical shaft crusher (sand making machine) system
This system adds a vertical shaft crusher to the jaw crusher + impact crusher system to form three-stage crushing. The function of the vertical shaft crusher is to shape the aggregate. In addition to the advantages of jaw crusher + impact crusher system, this combination can also produce aggregates of different qualities. At the same time, the fine powder produced in the aggregate shaping process can also be used to produce machine-made sand. The disadvantage is that the first-stage crushing equipment is added, the initial investment is increased, and the total investment is high.
In the sand and gravel aggregate production line, the crushing system is in a key position. The ability of the same crusher to crush different materials under the same conditions is different, and the ability of different crushers to crush the same material under the same conditions is also different. How to choose the type and combination of crushers when crushing materials needs to be considered from the physical properties of materials, product quality requirements and production capacity.
