Bentonite is a kind of clay rock, also known as montmorillonite clay rock, often containing a small amount of illite, kaolinite, halloysite, chlorite, zeolite, quartz, feldspar, calcite, etc.; hardness 1-2, density 2 ~3g/cm3. According to the type, content and layer charge of montmorillonite exchangeable cations, bentonite can be divided into sodium bentonite (alkaline earth), calcium bentonite (alkaline earth), natural bleaching earth (acidic earth or acid clay), among which Calcium-based bentonite also includes calcium-sodium base and calcium-magnesium base.

Bentonite processing and production process
The method improves the quality and decolorization power of the high-efficiency activated clay by increasing the activation temperature and pressure of the material and washing the slurry with a small amount of water for many times, and greatly reduces the production cost.
1.A method for producing high-efficiency activated clay by a semi-wet method, comprising: uniformly mixing a certain amount of bentonite and inorganic acid;
2.Activating the mixture at a certain temperature and pressure; using a certain amount of water to rinse the activated slurry to PH=4;
3.As well as the process of suction filtration into cake, drying, pulverization, etc., its physical characteristics are: a. The activation temperature and pressure are generally increased to 200 ~ 300 ° C and 15 ~ 40 atmospheres;
4.The amount of water used for rinsing the slurry should be divided into several equal parts, and the slurry should be rinsed in sequence.
Bentonite Grinding Mill
In order to meet the requirements of higher fineness of bentonite in industries such as papermaking, plastics and rubber products, it is necessary to increase the fineness of bentonite, thereby improving the quality of the product. The ultra-fine grinding process mainly includes grinding and stripping method, high pressure extrusion method and jet pulverization method. Bentonite grinding equipment usually uses ultra-fine powder mill or MTW European version trapezoidal mill.
Investment prospects
It is predicted that the amount of bentonite ore resources in my country has exceeded 8 billion tons, which has laid a resource foundation for the development and research of new products, market development, and competitiveness improvement. However, the degree of development and utilization of bentonite in my country is very low, and the cumulative mining volume is less than 1% of the proven reserves. In the international market, there is a situation of “low out and high in”, that is, exporting low-grade products (raw ore, foundry, drilling, low-grade activated clay, etc.) and importing ideal products (washing powder softener, high-grade organic clay, bentonite waterproofing) blanket, etc.). According to incomplete statistics, the current annual production and sales volume of bentonite products in China is about 2.7 million tons, of which 1.0-1.1 million tons are used for foundry sand, 70 tons for drilling mud, 450,000 tons for metallurgical pellets, and used for oil decolorization (active White clay) 200,000 tons, used for other 200,000 to 300,000 tons. The industry is characterized by small scale (enterprises with an annual output of more than 10,000 tons), low technical level, not very fierce competition because it is a resource-based industry, and both production, sales and prices are rising year by year.
The main purpose of bentonite
1.Because bentonite has good water-swelling properties, dispersing, suspending and pulping properties, it is used in drilling mud, flame retardant (suspension fire extinguishing), and sewage treatment; it can also be used as filler in the paper industry, which can optimize the performance of coatings such as attached Focus, covering power, water resistance, scrub resistance, etc.; due to its good adhesion, it can be used instead of starch for yarn sizing in the textile industry. Do both.
2.In general, the properties of sodium montmorillonite (or sodium bentonite) are better than those of calcium. However, the distribution of calcareous soil is far wider than that of sodium soil in the world, so in addition to strengthening the search for sodium soil, it is necessary to modify the calcareous soil to make it a sodium soil.
3.Bentonite (montmorillonite) has good physical and chemical properties, and can be used as binder, suspending agent, thixotropic agent, stabilizer, purification and decolorizing agent, filler, feed, catalyst, etc. It is widely used in agriculture, light industry and cosmetics. , medicine and other fields, so montmorillonite is a natural mineral material with a wide range of uses.
