The dry-process steel slag production process does not need to consume precious water resources. After the steel slag is crushed, rod milled, and magnetically separated, the slag steel can be self-grinding to obtain grade A and B scrap steel. The iron content of the slag powder can reach more than 55%. The content of magnetic iron in the tailings of -5~10mm is less than 2%. After precipitation treatment, it can be used as steel slag dry powder mortar or used to prepare cement, steel slag powder, etc.

The selection of treatment process is generally considered comprehensively from the aspects of comprehensive utilization of steel slag, energy saving and environmental protection, and investment. Under the premise of satisfying the smooth progress of the steelmaking process, combined with the viscosity and fluidity of liquid steel slag, a relatively reasonable treatment process is selected. To achieve effective separation of slag and iron, keep the activity of steel slag as much as possible, and reduce the instability of steel slag.
