Stone crushing industry is an important industrial sector in India engaged in producing crushed stone of various sizes depending upon the requirement which acts as raw material for various construction activities such as construction of roads, highways, bridges, buildings, and canals etc. It is estimated that there are over 12,000 stone crusher machines operating in India.
In India, the stone crushing industry sector is estimated to have an annual turnover of Rs. 5000 crore and is therefore an economically important sector. The sector is estimated to be providing direct employment to over 500,000 people engaged in various activities such as mining, crushing plant, transportation of mined stones, and crushed products etc.
The project aims to design a small scale mechanized stone crushing machine that is simple, economical, easy to use and maintain in order to empower the manual stone crushers while meeting the increasing demand for aggregate in the construction industry. The proposed design incorporates the use of a hydraulic mechanism for the crushing process, reducing manual labor and increasing efficiency.
The machine will be capable of crushing stones of different sizes, starting from 10mm to 25mm as per the requirement. The stones will be fed into the hopper by a conveyor belt and crushed using a combination of jaw and cone crushers. The crushed stones will be screened to separate the products of required sizes.
The machine will be powered by a diesel engine or an electric motor, depending on the availability of power in the area. It will be designed to have a capacity of crushing 500-600 tons of stone per day, which will be sufficient to meet the demand of the project.
The project is expected to have a payback period of about 2 years, assuming an average selling price of Rs. 70 per ton of crushed stone. The total investment required for the project is estimated to be around Rs. 2.5 crores, including land, machinery, and working capital.
Overall, the project of stone crusher machine in India is a valuable investment opportunity for entrepreneurs and small-scale entrepreneurs.
