Nickel ore is mainly divided into cupric nickel sulfide ore and nickel oxide ore, whose beneficiation and processing methods are completely different.
The most common beneficiation methods for copper-nickel sulfide ore are flotation, gravity, magnetic separation and separation are usually secondary. In the flotation of copper nickel sulfide ore, we often use the reagent and foaming agent. The basic principle of making it a nickel-copper concentrate is to determine the flotation process, while avoiding the selection of copper-nickel concentrate as much as possible. Because in the process of copper concentrate nickel smelting will lose a lot of nickel, and in the nickel copper concentrate can be more completely selected.
Nickel oxide ore currently uses a crushing and screening process to pre-remove rocks with low weathering and low nickel content. Because the nickel oxide grains in the isomorphic form of nickel ore which are often dispersed in gangue minerals are very fine, the nickel oxide ore cannot be processed by mechanical processing. Instead, they can only be smelted directly.
Crushing and grinding are necessary in the process of mineral processing of copper-nickel sulfide ore and nickel oxide ore. Simons Cone Crusher is widely used for nickel ore crushing.
